Aloha and welcome to the College of Engineering at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa!
The College of Engineering at the University of Hawaiʻi is dedicated to providing a world-class education and research opportunities to those who are interested in learning in one of the world’s most diverse environments.
The college offers an array of undergraduate and graduate programs. At the undergraduate level, we offer degrees in aerospace, biomedical, civil, computer, construction, electrical, and mechanical engineering. At the graduate level, we have Master’s of Science and Ph.D. programs in the fields of civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering.
As the only engineering school in the state, our students and faculty play a vital role in shaping Hawai’i’s future. Our students go on to be the graduates who supply the workforce that builds Hawai’i. To this end, we have a residency program and more than ten student chapters of professional engineering societies providing students with the social and academic support to complete their studies. Meanwhile, our dedicated and award-winning faculty are frequently called on by policymakers to offer innovative solutions and conduct research aimed at solving Hawai’i’s most complex challenges–from infrastructure and energy to healthcare and economics.
Through our annual events, the Dean’s Council, and our alumni association, we maintain a close relationship with our local engineering and business communities, industry, our schools, and alumni–providing the opportunity for feedback from those in the field and offering a lifelong relationship to our graduates.
Finally, I am so excited to be working with the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the college, and look forward to raising the next generation of leaders.
Mahalo,
Brennon Morioka
