ARCS Foundation Awards Two UH Engineering Students
The Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Foundation awarded two University of Hawai’i Mānoa PhD engineering students during a ceremony at the Outrigger Canoe Club on May 2, 2016. Robert H. Nakata (EE) received the 2016 Bretzlaff Award for his research on remote health sensor systems while Melia K. Iwamoto (CEE) was presented with the 2016 Kresser Award for her research on geo-technical land slide warning systems. Both received $5,000 from the ARCS Foundation.
