Engineer Raising His Arms In Triumph

It’s Engineers Week!

Welcome to the start of Engineers Week!  Founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, this week was named in honor of the one week a year when engineers come out of hibernation and do work. Ha!  All kidding aside, this week is dedicated to “ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.”  To that end, we worked with Pacific Business News, The Honolulu Star-Advertiser, and Hawai’i Business Magazine to come up with three enlightening articles that highlight just some the fascinating things our faculty and students have been doing here at the College of Engineering for the last year. From celebrating the anniversary of the world’s first wireless network (developed at UH) to helping to fight COVID-19.
